Worry Free, Healthy Me

On 4 March (Saturday) Jake and I decided to go to the animal shelter to look at a fur baby. We saw a video of Evy earlier in the week and I went to look at her a couple days after we saw the video. Then, when Jake had off work on Saturday we decided to go together to see if she would be a good fit for Lando. We went to the shelter and she was so sweet and very loving. We decided to adopt her and we're able to bring her home that day! That day and night we decided to keep her in a separate room so her and Lando could get used to each other's scents. Lando, who usually likes other cats, decided he was not happy with the new addition at all. He would growl and hiss at the door and I decided to go and get a multi cat feliway diffuser to see if it would help. Jake and I would check up on her occasionally and make sure she was comfortable. So here I am drinking some coffee and trying to catch up on my recap posts. I'm trying to catch up on school but I still want to be doing these posts so I can look back and remember this year.  Last week (week of 17 January 2017) was a pretty good week. I've been keeping up with my running, my workouts, and I got all the Christmas decorations down and decorated the house for Valentine's Day! Tuesday I decided to go for a run. Although I have Amazon Prime Music, I still love running to Spotify's running playlists because it detects your steps per minute and gives you great music that matches your pace. My favorite palm tree in the neighborhood is so magnificently tall. You can't really tell in this picture how tall it is though. I started off last week working on school. I had my little study buddy to keep me company. I took my exam and then started on the nervous system! I'm slowly but surely working on getting through school. I was talking with Jake and he really thinks I could eventually become a Veterinarian and start my own practice. I have to become a Veterinary Assistant and then a Veterinary Technician first though. Afterwards I decided to set up our small tree in the bedroom. I LOVE Christmas and always decorate earlier than most people in the U.S.  Tuesday I was back to school work again and guess who was "helping"? Yep! Lando was right beside me. Last Friday was Veteran's Day! Since Jake is the veteran in this family we mostly did what he wanted all day. So for breakfast I went out and got Jake's favorite breakfast (TacoBell) and put all of his food on a serving tray and let him eat breakfast in bed. I was pretty hungry so while he was sleeping I ate my food out on the balcony. After I was done I came inside and was able to see Jake's face when he woke up and saw breakfast waiting for him in bed. :) It was a bit chilly so I decided to put my new Christmas hat on! Afterwards, Jake went and played World of Warcraft while I worked on schoolwork.
