Some Positive Changes

It's been about a month since my last post and I thought I'd give an update as to my health with all my new changes.

So far I have now only been getting migraines about once every two weeks. They last less than a day and I can still do pretty much everything throughout my day besides heavy exercise. Yay! I feel like this is a huge improvement. Plus with me taking all the animal products out of my diet, supplements, yoga, and foam rolling, I notice the only time I get migraines now is if I don't drink enough water.

Lately Jake (my husband) has been saying how good my meals look and has been stealing a bit of food off my plate lol.  Plus with all the positive changes he's been seeing he has been requesting more of "my" meals now. My green smoothies have been a big hit.

My favorite green smoothie:
3 cups of water
4-6 giant kale leaves
2.5-3 cups of strawberries
1-2 bananas

It makes about 7 cups (56 ounces) and we usually have it as a meal. Sometimes I add in a different type of fruit instead of strawberries. It all depends on my mood and what they have at the store.

Lately I have also been running outside more. There is a beautiful running route near where I live and I have been loving running there especially since it has been so nice out here in Tennessee.

Now I will leave you with some pictures of my running route and my meals:
It's is so beautiful there.

This really is my favorite route.

A green smoothie.

Some vegan chinese food.

A small grocery haul. Look at all that kale and spinach!

Some vegan pizza. No cheese and every vegetable they have.

I have finally mastered the art of scrambled tofu. Jake even mentioned how good it smells. I'll have to do a blog post on how to make it later.

Fresh squeezed orange juice.

Externship Update

It has been a little over a month since I started my externship! I have learned so much in the last 5 weeks and I'm excited to learn so much more. I really hope I get hired at my externship site. They have been hinting at hiring me and a few things have been said but nothing official has been said yet. If I don't get hired there I'm still thankful for the opportunity and am sure I'll get hired somewhere in the area. Since the externship started I have progressed more than I thought I would. Things I didn't think I'd be doing right now but am: *sending out samples for results *doing some callbacks to see how patients are doing *taking a client and patient to a room and then getting a history and TPR on my own *drawing blood *monitoring in patients and patients coming out of surgery I still have more ways to go but I am really proud of all my accomplishments so far. I will be publishing an official post once I'm done with my results but I just wanted

Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course and Mud Run

Today my husband and I completed the Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course and Mud Run! We got there at 07:30 bright and early. Before we went I ate a little bit of fruit and packed some things we might need (lots of towels, baby wipes, eye drops, snacks for afterwards, water, and electrolytes). I really enjoyed myself and it was empowering to accomplish it! Jake and I did it together all the way through. I'm so thankful that I have such an amazing husband that is so patient with me and helped me all the way through the event. The event was just short of 6 miles. It had over ten obstacles and included mud pits and a run through the woods that was very muddy! At the end we got some free water, Gatorade, fruit, snacks, and beer! I was very surprised but my Fitbit Surge held up pretty well! The only thing is when we got sprayed with water at the end, the force of the water must have hit one of the buttons and it turned off my Fitbit. That was as we were crossing the finis

Arizona 2.0

Since I've last posted there have been a few major changes and events that have happened. I have vacationed in the Bahamas, we have moved to Arizona, have bought a house, and have donated my hair. I've been meaning to update this blog for a while but now here I am watching Rome, drinking some cranberry juice, and typing on my laptop. Jake got a position in Southern Arizona as a contractor so we moved here and decided to buy a house. We looked at houses online for about a month before we found this one. It had everything we wanted in a house which was difficult to find. We did a virtual tour before deciding to put down an offer. It was accepted! Then we flew out to Arizona to walk through the home twice before going back to Tennessee and packing up all our stuff. After three days and both mine and Jake's cars breaking down in Texas we finally made it to Arizona. We lived out of a hotel for about a month. Because we were staying there so long, we received a special ra
