Worry Free, Healthy Me

I'm hoping to get back into the weekly recaps now that I have finished the academic portion of my schooling. Yes, that's right! I've finished the academic portion of my studies and now it's just time for my clinical studies! Last week I finished my last exam and this past week I've been updating my resume, making cover letters, getting paperwork together, and going into the veterinary hospitals and clinics in my area. So I figured what great way to celebrate this achievement by sitting down with a cup of coffee and writing a little blog post. Let's take this post back to last Monday, the 14th of August. Monday was a pretty great day considering it is when I took my final exam! I got a 96%. Even though I got one question wrong and could prove that I answered correctly with my textbook I'm still pretty happy with my grade. Let's take this post back to last Friday, March the 17th. I started to feel a little sick Thursday night but not bad. When I woke up on Friday I felt miserable. Fever, sweats, chills, aches, you name it. I remained that way until part way through Saturday when I started to feel a little better and my fever went away. By Sunday I still felt sick with a stuffy nose and a little achy but in general I felt much better. I got up, showered, and took care of the house after it being neglected for the last couple days. I even went outside for some fresh air after getting the dishes done. I ended up finally taking my exam that I wanted to take on Friday and I got 100%! The rest of the night I cleaned up the house, did some laundry, made supper and then relaxed before bed. Monday was a great start to my week! On 4 March (Saturday) Jake and I decided to go to the animal shelter to look at a fur baby. We saw a video of Evy earlier in the week and I went to look at her a couple days after we saw the video. Then, when Jake had off work on Saturday we decided to go together to see if she would be a good fit for Lando. We went to the shelter and she was so sweet and very loving. We decided to adopt her and we're able to bring her home that day! That day and night we decided to keep her in a separate room so her and Lando could get used to each other's scents. Lando, who usually likes other cats, decided he was not happy with the new addition at all. He would growl and hiss at the door and I decided to go and get a multi cat feliway diffuser to see if it would help. Jake and I would check up on her occasionally and make sure she was comfortable.
