Mexican Cruise Day 7: At Sea

Our last day was at sea! To start off the day we went to the hot tub at the gym and then got some coffee.

Then we went to brunch where I had tomato soup, blueberry pancakes, and fruit.

After breakfast we went to the casino where I entered a slot tournament. I got first place and because a finalist for the grand final! I went and got some Chinese for lunch and went back to the casino for the grand final round.

Unfortunately I didn't win the $500 but I did win an awesome shirt!

After the slot tournament I went over and played BINGO. My dad played most of my cards for me until I got there. Thanks Dad! I didn't win anything on BINGO but I did win $5 from a pull tab.
That night we went to the dining room again for dinner and they put on a special show for the last night. We all went to our rooms early so we could get packed and put our bags out.

The next morning we left our rooms by 8A.M. and went to the buffet. After getting some breakfast and relaxing a bit we went down the the main lobby of the atrium and waited for our section to disembark.

Getting off the ship was pretty easy and it didn't take us long at all to get our bags and get to the car.
We dropped my parents off at the train station in Los Angeles and we started on the drive home!

We finally got home a little after midnight. As soon as we said hello to the fur babies we went straight to bed.

Over all I loved the cruise. The last two excursions were amazing and I enjoyed cruising with my parents and getting a French door room for the price of an interior! However, the ship was a little bit smaller than the last ones I went on so I think next time we will be going on a bit of a larger ship. But as always I enjoyed myself on carnival!

My First Day at GNC

Well today was my first day at GNC. When I asked for my days off she seemed understanding because I brought it up on the first day. However, my probation period is ninety days and I'm not allowed to use the cash register and I'm taking tests and training the whole time. So by the time I'm planning to leave and start working in a Fitness Facility I would still be on probation. I feel bad for only staying with them such a short time and them investing training into me. I'm wondering how long this will last. I plan to stick it out for a while and see how it goes. I'm not worrying about it because I know God has great plans for me and I just have to trust Him. I have applied for ten fitness facility positions on post this week and this weekend I will be applying to fitness facilities in the city that I am in. Hopefully something comes through and I can start putting my schooling and passion to use!

Mexican Cruise Day 1: Los Angeles, California

We left home Friday evening with plenty of time to spare to get there early Saturday morning, find parking, get checked in, etc. Before we left town we stopped at one of my favorite restaurants and got supper. After hitting the road we went through Tucson and Phoenix with no issues.  After a rest stop in Phoenix with bathroom breaks and stocking up on food and water we were set to drive across the desert with no stops for at least a few hours. About one hour into the desert (1am) we got a flat tire! A nail was left on the side of the road and punctured our tire. Thankfully my Dad was with us. Jake and my Dad managed to get the doughnut on the car. We tried calling AAA but there was an accident and the person coming to help us got flagged down by the police to help out.  After getting the spare on we tried finding a tire shop that was open 24 hours. There wasn't one within 100 miles! We drove to the closest one and then they had to help someone else out so n...

New Year, New Goals, New Perspective

I know I haven't written on here in forever. I've been going through some rough times the past couple months. My poor baby, Ninja, passed away and I have had a hard time. I'm not going to write much about it here since it still feels raw but maybe later. Even though Ninja passed away I still managed to study every day leading up to my exam and I passed! Now all I have to do is put my certificate to good use. I am determined to use my certificate to help people. Not only is it something I want to do for myself but it is something I want to do for Ninja. I think of all the time I spent studying with him on my lap or how he would come outside and deal with the Tennessee heat in the summer just to be by me. Sometimes I would have to leave him inside in order to concentrate for a little while and after listening to his cries I would give up and let him out. I won't let all that time spent studying instead of giving him all my attention go to waste. I know me using my certifi...
