Mexican Cruise Day 7: At Sea

Our last day was at sea! To start off the day we went to the hot tub at the gym and then got some coffee.

Then we went to brunch where I had tomato soup, blueberry pancakes, and fruit.

After breakfast we went to the casino where I entered a slot tournament. I got first place and because a finalist for the grand final! I went and got some Chinese for lunch and went back to the casino for the grand final round.

Unfortunately I didn't win the $500 but I did win an awesome shirt!

After the slot tournament I went over and played BINGO. My dad played most of my cards for me until I got there. Thanks Dad! I didn't win anything on BINGO but I did win $5 from a pull tab.
That night we went to the dining room again for dinner and they put on a special show for the last night. We all went to our rooms early so we could get packed and put our bags out.

The next morning we left our rooms by 8A.M. and went to the buffet. After getting some breakfast and relaxing a bit we went down the the main lobby of the atrium and waited for our section to disembark.

Getting off the ship was pretty easy and it didn't take us long at all to get our bags and get to the car.
We dropped my parents off at the train station in Los Angeles and we started on the drive home!

We finally got home a little after midnight. As soon as we said hello to the fur babies we went straight to bed.

Over all I loved the cruise. The last two excursions were amazing and I enjoyed cruising with my parents and getting a French door room for the price of an interior! However, the ship was a little bit smaller than the last ones I went on so I think next time we will be going on a bit of a larger ship. But as always I enjoyed myself on carnival!

Externship Update

It has been a little over a month since I started my externship! I have learned so much in the last 5 weeks and I'm excited to learn so much more. I really hope I get hired at my externship site. They have been hinting at hiring me and a few things have been said but nothing official has been said yet. If I don't get hired there I'm still thankful for the opportunity and am sure I'll get hired somewhere in the area. Since the externship started I have progressed more than I thought I would. Things I didn't think I'd be doing right now but am: *sending out samples for results *doing some callbacks to see how patients are doing *taking a client and patient to a room and then getting a history and TPR on my own *drawing blood *monitoring in patients and patients coming out of surgery I still have more ways to go but I am really proud of all my accomplishments so far. I will be publishing an official post once I'm done with my results but I just wanted

Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course and Mud Run

Today my husband and I completed the Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course and Mud Run! We got there at 07:30 bright and early. Before we went I ate a little bit of fruit and packed some things we might need (lots of towels, baby wipes, eye drops, snacks for afterwards, water, and electrolytes). I really enjoyed myself and it was empowering to accomplish it! Jake and I did it together all the way through. I'm so thankful that I have such an amazing husband that is so patient with me and helped me all the way through the event. The event was just short of 6 miles. It had over ten obstacles and included mud pits and a run through the woods that was very muddy! At the end we got some free water, Gatorade, fruit, snacks, and beer! I was very surprised but my Fitbit Surge held up pretty well! The only thing is when we got sprayed with water at the end, the force of the water must have hit one of the buttons and it turned off my Fitbit. That was as we were crossing the finis

Arizona 2.0

Since I've last posted there have been a few major changes and events that have happened. I have vacationed in the Bahamas, we have moved to Arizona, have bought a house, and have donated my hair. I've been meaning to update this blog for a while but now here I am watching Rome, drinking some cranberry juice, and typing on my laptop. Jake got a position in Southern Arizona as a contractor so we moved here and decided to buy a house. We looked at houses online for about a month before we found this one. It had everything we wanted in a house which was difficult to find. We did a virtual tour before deciding to put down an offer. It was accepted! Then we flew out to Arizona to walk through the home twice before going back to Tennessee and packing up all our stuff. After three days and both mine and Jake's cars breaking down in Texas we finally made it to Arizona. We lived out of a hotel for about a month. Because we were staying there so long, we received a special ra
