Christmas Haul | Blogmas #1

Welcome to the first day of Blogmas!! I'm so excited to be doing this this year! I will be doing one post every day up until Christmas! I will try to make it a bit interesting with doing different kind of posts rather than just my typical re-cap posts. I hope you enjoy! Today I'm going to go over my Christmas Haul this year! We usually get Christmas decorations right after Christmas for the next year because that is when they are the cheapest but since moving into our new house (which is larger than our last house) it seemed like our Christmas decorations weren't taking up the house and it seemed a bit bare. I decided to get some stuff over the past few weeks. It's mostly from Walmart but there are some garage sale items.  I got three garland sets. Two were pre-lit and one was not. I put the prelight ones on the staircase and around the front door. For the mantle I just grabbed one of the cheaper ones and folded it in half to make it thicker. I ti...

Thanksgiving Week and Black Friday Traditions

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! Even though last week was Thanksgiving it was still very productive. Lando's cat grass finally grew back. His old grass was getting old so I tossed it and grew a new batch. He was so happy to have his grass back again! Monday morning was pretty cold so I decided to go on a walk. I love walking or running in cold weather. The sun coming through the clouds was so beautiful. It started to rain just as I turned the corner to get on my street. Talk about good timing! Lando creeping outside. Hobby Lobby was having a great sale on trees. This one is much nicer than the ones I was looking at at Walmart and it was cheaper too! It was a bit difficult to get into my car but one of the employees helped me out. Tuesday I went to the shelter to see if the had any applications for me to fill out for a volunteer position. I filled one out, talked the person who was head of volunteering and I start ne...

Setting Up the Small Tree and Making Vegan Breakfast Sandwich

I started off last week working on school. I had my little study buddy to keep me company. I took my exam and then started on the nervous system! I'm slowly but surely working on getting through school. I was talking with Jake and he really thinks I could eventually become a Veterinarian and start my own practice. I have to become a Veterinary Assistant and then a Veterinary Technician first though. Afterwards I decided to set up our small tree in the bedroom. I LOVE Christmas and always decorate earlier than most people in the U.S.  Tuesday I was back to school work again and guess who was "helping"? Yep! Lando was right beside me. I love it when he wants cuddles. He's usually such a hyper kitty so when he wants cuddles I make sure to stop what I'm doing and give him love. I captured the most beautiful sunset last week. The picture doesn't do it justice. Lando loves the tree too! Thursday, La...

Veteran's Day Festivities

Last Friday was Veteran's Day! Since Jake is the veteran in this family we mostly did what he wanted all day. So for breakfast I went out and got Jake's favorite breakfast (TacoBell) and put all of his food on a serving tray and let him eat breakfast in bed. I was pretty hungry so while he was sleeping I ate my food out on the balcony. After I was done I came inside and was able to see Jake's face when he woke up and saw breakfast waiting for him in bed. :) It was a bit chilly so I decided to put my new Christmas hat on! Afterwards, Jake went and played World of Warcraft while I worked on schoolwork. Lando decided he wanted to help too. :) Even though it was chilly out I opened the window for Lando to enjoy so I bundled up and drank some hot apple cider to keep warm. When it started to get dark out we turned on our green porch light! Then, we went to get carry out since all the restaurants were packed. We curled up, got cozy,...
