Thanksgiving Week and Black Friday Traditions

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! Even though last week was Thanksgiving it was still very productive. Lando's cat grass finally grew back. His old grass was getting old so I tossed it and grew a new batch. He was so happy to have his grass back again! Monday morning was pretty cold so I decided to go on a walk. I love walking or running in cold weather. The sun coming through the clouds was so beautiful. It started to rain just as I turned the corner to get on my street. Talk about good timing! Lando creeping outside. Hobby Lobby was having a great sale on trees. This one is much nicer than the ones I was looking at at Walmart and it was cheaper too! It was a bit difficult to get into my car but one of the employees helped me out. Tuesday I went to the shelter to see if the had any applications for me to fill out for a volunteer position. I filled one out, talked the person who was head of volunteering and I start ne

Setting Up the Small Tree and Making Vegan Breakfast Sandwich

I started off last week working on school. I had my little study buddy to keep me company. I took my exam and then started on the nervous system! I'm slowly but surely working on getting through school. I was talking with Jake and he really thinks I could eventually become a Veterinarian and start my own practice. I have to become a Veterinary Assistant and then a Veterinary Technician first though. Afterwards I decided to set up our small tree in the bedroom. I LOVE Christmas and always decorate earlier than most people in the U.S.  Tuesday I was back to school work again and guess who was "helping"? Yep! Lando was right beside me. I love it when he wants cuddles. He's usually such a hyper kitty so when he wants cuddles I make sure to stop what I'm doing and give him love. I captured the most beautiful sunset last week. The picture doesn't do it justice. Lando loves the tree too! Thursday, La

Veteran's Day Festivities

Last Friday was Veteran's Day! Since Jake is the veteran in this family we mostly did what he wanted all day. So for breakfast I went out and got Jake's favorite breakfast (TacoBell) and put all of his food on a serving tray and let him eat breakfast in bed. I was pretty hungry so while he was sleeping I ate my food out on the balcony. After I was done I came inside and was able to see Jake's face when he woke up and saw breakfast waiting for him in bed. :) It was a bit chilly so I decided to put my new Christmas hat on! Afterwards, Jake went and played World of Warcraft while I worked on schoolwork. Lando decided he wanted to help too. :) Even though it was chilly out I opened the window for Lando to enjoy so I bundled up and drank some hot apple cider to keep warm. When it started to get dark out we turned on our green porch light! Then, we went to get carry out since all the restaurants were packed. We curled up, got cozy,

First Day After the Flu and Post-Election Day

Yesterday was the first day where I haven't felt like I got hit by a bus. Yay! I actually felt pretty good. My muscles were a little sore and I was a bit tired but overall I felt pretty good. I woke up after a NyQuil induced sleep and opened the windows, turned off the outside lights, and fed Lando his breakfast. Then I got ready for the day and I voted! After voting I came back home, watched a youtube video while I ate some breakfast and drank some water mixed with Mio and some On Guard EO Blend. Afterwards, I started putting all of my notes into flashcards on my Cram account . I finished all of my notes and then got to some house work! Then, I made some supper for Jake. I made fajitas because its super quick and easy! ~~~~~~~ Today I woke up and saw the results from the election. (Don't worry I'm not going to make this into a political post.) You could say I didn't wake up extremely happy. So to cheer myself up I put on some Christmas music and got ready for

1st Week of November

Monday: Lando started his new prescription diet.I went to the vet and received a bit of samples. He wasn't too fond of the wet food even when mixing it with his favorite wet food but he loves the dry food. Tuesday: Lando ate almost all the wet food I put out overnight but that was only after I made it with a special concoction with dry food and cat nip. I also worked on school and got quite a bit done! Wednesday: Lando ate all of his wet food overnight! I went over to the family's house that I'm working on and worked on their garage for a bit. Then I made some chili, and picked up some stuff from the store, and washed the dishes. Thursday: One year ago today Ninja passed away. I decided the best way to get through the day was to keep myself busy. I picked up some of Lando's new prescription wet food from the vet today they even found a coupon and gave me $5 off! Then I went over to the family's house and finished up their garage, finished the kitchen, an

Life Update: Family, School, Work

Well it's been quite a while since I last wrote. After we got settled down here I picked up a job unpacking, cleaning, and organizing a family's house. I'm finally done besides everything in the garage. Yay! I'm just waiting on them to remove empty boxes then I can get started on that section and be done! I had to take a leave of absence though because there was a family emergency and I had to fly back to Wisconsin last minute. Two of my relatives passed away but thankfully I was able to see them one last time. After getting back from Wisconsin I started back on the house I'm working on and finished with that. Then I tried to catch up on my school work. When I was almost all caught up on my schoolwork Lando got sick. So needless to say I'm a bit behind again. We noticed Lando has been drinking more water than usual lately and hes been taking a bit longer to use the litterbox. However, he wasnt crying in pain, he was still urinating, and there wasn't an
