1st Week of November

Monday: Lando started his new prescription diet.I went to the vet and received a bit of samples. He wasn't too fond of the wet food even when mixing it with his favorite wet food but he loves the dry food.

Tuesday: Lando ate almost all the wet food I put out overnight but that was only after I made it with a special concoction with dry food and cat nip. I also worked on school and got quite a bit done!

Wednesday: Lando ate all of his wet food overnight! I went over to the family's house that I'm working on and worked on their garage for a bit. Then I made some chili, and picked up some stuff from the store, and washed the dishes.

Thursday: One year ago today Ninja passed away. I decided the best way to get through the day was to keep myself busy. I picked up some of Lando's new prescription wet food from the vet today they even found a coupon and gave me $5 off! Then I went over to the family's house and finished up their garage, finished the kitchen, and organized their boxes. It was really cold on Thursday so we closed all the windows and I did schoolwork on the couch next to the fireplace.

Friday: Friday I slept in until 07:30 instead of getting up at 06:30 like normal. It was nice to get some extra sleep in especially since I didn't get to bed until late the night before. I got Jake ready for work and got Lando and myself ready for the day. This morning he didn't want his teeth brushed nor did he want play time. So I just let him eat his breakfast and go back to sleep. I started to feel ill on Friday so I tried going to bed early. I slept awful, waking up every half hour. Part way through the night I started a fever.

Saturday: Saturday morning I realized I had the flu. I still had a fever and laid in bed all day making sure to drink lots of fluids. I made my special drink to try to help boost my immune system.

Sunday: I was still sick on Sunday but my fever broke in the morning. I kept drinking fluids and made sure to get lots of rest. Just walking downstairs made me tired. I would have to stop half way down and rest.

So needless to say I didn't get much schoolwork or studying done this past weekend. Hopefully I can catch up this coming week.

My First Day at GNC

Well today was my first day at GNC. When I asked for my days off she seemed understanding because I brought it up on the first day. However, my probation period is ninety days and I'm not allowed to use the cash register and I'm taking tests and training the whole time. So by the time I'm planning to leave and start working in a Fitness Facility I would still be on probation. I feel bad for only staying with them such a short time and them investing training into me. I'm wondering how long this will last. I plan to stick it out for a while and see how it goes. I'm not worrying about it because I know God has great plans for me and I just have to trust Him. I have applied for ten fitness facility positions on post this week and this weekend I will be applying to fitness facilities in the city that I am in. Hopefully something comes through and I can start putting my schooling and passion to use!

Mexican Cruise Day 1: Los Angeles, California

We left home Friday evening with plenty of time to spare to get there early Saturday morning, find parking, get checked in, etc. Before we left town we stopped at one of my favorite restaurants and got supper. After hitting the road we went through Tucson and Phoenix with no issues.  After a rest stop in Phoenix with bathroom breaks and stocking up on food and water we were set to drive across the desert with no stops for at least a few hours. About one hour into the desert (1am) we got a flat tire! A nail was left on the side of the road and punctured our tire. Thankfully my Dad was with us. Jake and my Dad managed to get the doughnut on the car. We tried calling AAA but there was an accident and the person coming to help us got flagged down by the police to help out.  After getting the spare on we tried finding a tire shop that was open 24 hours. There wasn't one within 100 miles! We drove to the closest one and then they had to help someone else out so n...

Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course and Mud Run

Today my husband and I completed the Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course and Mud Run! We got there at 07:30 bright and early. Before we went I ate a little bit of fruit and packed some things we might need (lots of towels, baby wipes, eye drops, snacks for afterwards, water, and electrolytes). I really enjoyed myself and it was empowering to accomplish it! Jake and I did it together all the way through. I'm so thankful that I have such an amazing husband that is so patient with me and helped me all the way through the event. The event was just short of 6 miles. It had over ten obstacles and included mud pits and a run through the woods that was very muddy! At the end we got some free water, Gatorade, fruit, snacks, and beer! I was very surprised but my Fitbit Surge held up pretty well! The only thing is when we got sprayed with water at the end, the force of the water must have hit one of the buttons and it turned off my Fitbit. That was as we were crossing the finis...
