Yard Work, Getting the House Guest Ready, and Running

I'm siting here Friday morning eating fresh fruit, drinking some iced vanilla coffee, and writing this post. This past week has been pretty productive but I feel like it has went by too fast. I still have more stuff to get done before all of our guests come next month but I'm sure I'll get that done this weekend and next week. Last Friday I started work out the yard. I spent almost all morning pulling weeds and replacing the light bulbs out front. For us living in the desert we had a bunch of weeds! Saturday I spent the day cleaning the house and then Jake and I went out on a double date. I also started to trim back the palm trees but I didn't have the right tools for it. It took a while to do it and I didn't even get all of one palm tree done. Sunday was mine and Jake's lazy day. We spent the day playing Mass Effect and cuddling with the kitties. Monday I got back into school, picked up the house, and I eve

Making Smoothies, Having a Cold, and Passing My Exam

Let's take this post back to last Friday, March the 17th. I started to feel a little sick Thursday night but not bad. When I woke up on Friday I felt miserable. Fever, sweats, chills, aches, you name it. I remained that way until part way through Saturday when I started to feel a little better and my fever went away. By Sunday I still felt sick with a stuffy nose and a little achy but in general I felt much better. I got up, showered, and took care of the house after it being neglected for the last couple days. I even went outside for some fresh air after getting the dishes done. I ended up finally taking my exam that I wanted to take on Friday and I got 100%! The rest of the night I cleaned up the house, did some laundry, made supper and then relaxed before bed. Monday was a great start to my week! It felt like I had a bit of a cold and I had a little headache but I was pretty productive. I had breakfast outside while I read an article on

Amazing Weather, Studying, and Evy's First Vet Appointment

This week we have had some amazing weather! Sometimes I absolutely LOVE living in Arizona. Monday I spent a majority of the day cleaning, studying, and then spending time with Lando outside. I have only taken Evy out one time and she was small enough to slide out of her harness. So until she gets a little bigger she will be staying inside for now. For supper I made Chinese food. That means brown rice, steamed veggies, vegetable spring rolls, and some orange chicken for Jake. I was going to make some orange tofu but I couldn't find a block of tofu anywhere in the fridge. Tuesday was Evy's first vet appointment! We had a wellness check up and then we had a blood draw and had her tested for FIV/FeLV. She did so well at the vet. Lando normally hisses and growls at everyone but Evy just meowed and purred the whole time it was nice not having to worry about her biting anyone. After we got back Evy went into her hiding spot under the s
