What Happened to Blogmas & Visiting with Family

Sorry for cutting off blogmas! Other priorities sort of took over like family, life, and school. Next year I'll do better. We had Jake's Dad visit us the weekend of the 10th. It was nice for him to visit for a while and for him and Jake to spend some time together. We went to a light show and ice skating event on post but that turned out to not be a light show and it wasn't ice skating lol. So we went off post to look at Christmas lights and look at a fire that was in the mountains on post. Thankfully no one was hurt!

Christmas Playlist | Blogmas #6

Welcome to the sixth day of Christmas! Today's blog is going to be short and sweet. I'm going to list some of my favorite playlists for Christmas time. My favorite playlist and one that I listen to every day is from Zoe Sugg. Why? Because Zoe just gets Christmas: https://open.spotify.com/user/zoellasugg/playlist/0bUOtqpgwgOnvsVIJ7gkCX Another playlist is on Pandora called Christmas Radio. This is one that I listen to pretty regularly as well: http://www.pandora.com/station/play/1699253792096542310 Another playlist is by insaneboost: https://open.spotify.com/user/insaneboost/playlist/04Ghokpd1HRJDsdYVbMGea Those are my three top Christmas playlists. Enjoy!

Christmas Favorites | Blogmas #5

Welcome to Blogmas Day 5! I hope everyone's week is off to a fantastic start! If you want to participate in the Christmas Fitness Challenge it starts today!  Click here to read up on the challenge .  Today I'm going to be going over some stuff I've been using recently and loving. I just recently got this hand creme as a gift and it is amazing! It smells like vanilla with peppermint and it works so well. Living in Arizona has made my hands very dry no matter how much water I drink. It has been really hard to find a hand creme or lotion to actually work where I won't have to reapply it every hour. You only have to use a very small amount of this hand creme and it lasts quite a while. It's from Beauticontrol and I think the scent "Minty Marshmallow" is only out for the holiday season. The Twisted Peppermint body spray is what I've been using all holiday season. It smells like Christmas and completely gets me in the holiday spirit ever

Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christmas Parade | Blogmas #4

This past week has been great. After all it's the start of the Christmas season! What more could you ask for? :) This past week I started volunteering at the shelter. I started on Tuesday. It was a bit chilly out but after walking two miles I was warmed up. I walked a dog named Pebbles both days I was there. She's such a sweet old lady. <3 I ordered a heated cat house on Amazon for Cyber Monday and it came in the mail on Wednesday! I'm still trying to get our little stray kitty to get used to it. She (or he) is very skittish and not trusting of humans so I figured any new addition to our patio was going to take some time. She will go inside to get her food though so I've been putting her food in there right before she comes at night so she can at least eat her food and get some warmth. Lando caught me wrapping his one of his Christmas presents! Wednesday night I made myself some orange chicken and vegetable spring rolls with brown

Christmas Home Tour | Blogmas #2

Welcome to Blogmas day two! Today I'm going to be taking you on a Christmas home tour. I've seen these done as a vlog and just love them so I figured I would try to do it in a blog.  Welcome to our home! The wreath I made myself a few years ago and every season I change the decorations on it (besides the "D" for Duerrwaechter). In front of the fire is Lando's favorite spot when it's on so I made it comfy for him. Don't worry the cat bed and blanket aren't close enough to catch on fire. I bought one of the cheapest garland pieces, folded it in half, and added some lights I found in storage. Looks almost the same but less than half the price! This year we are starting a new tradition. We bought an advent candle and are lighting it every day together. Lando has been loving the lights, garland, and ornaments, especially the ones on our table. Yes, I even de
